Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

Who we are
A Cloud Above is a cloud infrastructure consultancy based in Washington, D.C., United States. You can reach us at hello@acloudabove.us or (844) 445-4415.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us, and only what we need to answer you.
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, your message, and — only if you choose to provide it — your phone number. If you give a phone number you must also tick the SMS consent box, and we record which wording you agreed to and when.
When you book a consultation: the booking is handled by Google Calendar appointment scheduling. Google collects your name, email address and any answers you give on their booking form, and shares them with us. Their handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
When you email or call us: whatever you send us, plus the address or number you sent it from.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics profiling, or third-party marketing pixels on this site.
SMS and your phone number
This section governs text messages sent from our toll-free number, (844) 445-4415.
We never share, sell, rent or otherwise disclose your phone number, or the fact that you consented to SMS, to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
We text you only if you asked us to — either by texting or calling us first, or by ticking the SMS consent box on our contact form. Messages are about your inquiry: replies to what you asked, updates on an open support ticket, and confirmations for consultation calls. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and you will receive no further texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@acloudabove.us.
Opting out of SMS does not affect our ability to reply to you by email, and does not stop us providing the service you asked for.
How we use it
To answer your inquiry, to deliver work you have engaged us for, and to keep records of that work. Nothing else. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of providers to run the business. They process data on our behalf, under their own terms, and only for the purpose described:
- Google Workspace — email, calendar and consultation booking.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, and bot protection on the contact form.
- Zammad — our helpdesk, which we self-host, where inquiries become support tickets.
- Twilio — delivery of text messages to and from our toll-free number.
How long we keep it
Support tickets and the correspondence attached to them are kept while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Ask us to delete your data and we will, except where we are required to keep records of work performed.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw SMS consent at any time. Email hello@acloudabove.us and we will action it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and rate limiting. Access to our helpdesk is restricted to named accounts.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified to active clients directly.
